MOST WSM PISTONS HAVE A BLACK MOLY COATING TO REDUCE FRICTION & HEAT BUILD-UP DURING BREAK-IN.
WISECO forged perfomance pistons available at extra charge.
ALL pistons come complete with rings, wristpins and retainers/clips.

NOTES ON MERC L-3 INLINE MODELS:

The date of manufacture of your inline 3 cylinder powerhead can be found stamped on the upper port side of the cylinder block at the crankcase split line..
On Inline 3-cylinder motors two types of connecting rod / piston combinations are used - top and bottom guided. This refers to the method of aligning the rods to the crankpin and cylinder centerline. You can identify which type you have by the forging number on the rod as follows:

TOP GUIDED = 646-81884
BOTTOM GUIDED = 638-85321
