That motor's 7 years old!!

We lose $$ on service!
EPA made me do it!
Part's at central warehouse, you'll get it next month.
We don't make parts for those.
We only do warranty work.
Our techs only fix late models.

PARTS APPLICATION QUESTIONS
What do I need to know to find parts for my motor?
  • For Mercury Marine (including Mariner and Mercruiser) you'll need the motor serial number, usually found on either the left mounting bracket or on the right midsection for Outboards, and on the block or flame arrestor cover for Stern Drives
  • For Chrysler Outboards, and for Force Outboards through 1992, the motor model number is needed. Chrysler motors generally have this on a plate on the inside of the lower engine cover. Force motors usually have an I.D. plate on the left mounting bracket, through the early 1990's; later motors have a foil sticker on the outside right midsection. Mid-1992 and up have a sticker in the same area but will have a serial number beginning with "0E" instead of a model number. This also applies to all Mercury SportJets. For 1991-1993, please supply both model I.D. and serial, if present, for these transition years.
  • For Johnson-Evinrude, OMC Sterndrive, Nissan-Tohatsu, Yamaha and Suzuki you'll need the motor model number. These are located in different places on the various motors buy in general will be on the left mounting bracket for outboards and on the flame arrestor cover or the left side on the block for the stern drives.
You MUST have the serial and/or model I.D. (as applicable above)
in order for us to get you the correct parts, the first time.

What brands do you sell parts for?

  • We are an authorized parts dealer for Tohatsu and Nissan Outboard motors.
  • Through several affliliates we are able to get original equipment parts for Johnson, Evinrude, Mercury, and Mariner outboards, as well as OMC and Mercruiser stern drives.
  • For these and other brands we also offer quality aftermarket parts from national wholesale distributors Pro Marine, Sierra and WSM. These companies handle a wide range of outboard and stern drive parts from a variety of aftermarket parts manufacturers. We stock many fast-moving maintenance parts here and for those we don't, we usually can have shipped to you directly from one of these distributors.

What about parts for older motors?
  • Many parts are no longer made for motors in the late 1960's and older, although quite a few parts are still available from the various manufacturers. We have several sources for NLA parts and may be able to find what you need anyway. We also have several used parts outfits that we can direct you to in the event we can't find what you're looking for as new.
A special case is Nissan-Tohatsu; parts catalogs are not published for these prior to 1992 and basically there are no sources for parts for motors older than this.

     How about used parts?
  • We generally don't get into used parts but there are a few companies we deal with that do specialize in these. You can contact us (preferably by using the quote form) so we can direct you to the best one(s) to check with for your particular motor.

SHIPPING QUESTIONS

How do you normally ship parts?

  • Our normal shipping method is US Mail. We've found the service to be very reliable and much cheaper than package carriers such as UPS and FedEx
  • Often we will have parts shipped to you direct from other warehouses if we don't have something on hand, or if a distributor that has the parts is on the other side of the country from our Florida location.  Drop-shipped parts are sent from the warehouse closest to you. The main warehouses we use are in Tampa Florida and the Seattle area in Washington.
  • PLEASE MAKE SURE your shipping address is deliverable by the Post Office, unless you specify UPS or FedEx !!

What are your normal shipping charges for parts?
  • Most orders are shipped US Mail for a standard shipping charge of $8.75. Due to the variety of weights and sizes, and multiple shipping locations, we are unable to assign specific charges for individual orders so have averaged out the standard shipping. Some small parts will cost us less to ship, others much more than $8.75. We have found that most orders, if shipped UPS for instance, now cost more than that anyway, for very little difference in shipping time.    More Info Here   (opens in new window)
  • Most orders over $100.00 ship free via the usual shipping methods above. Faster service is available, see below.
  • Out-of-the-country orders will always have a shipping charge applied regardless of order cost. We also generally use Priority Mail International for the shipments. Most smaller sized orders will ship for $35.00 to non-US destinations. Larger parts will incur a higher charge dependent on package dimensions. Any Customs duties or taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.

Can I get my parts quicker?

  • Sure. We can use Express Mail, which generally is 2-day shipping (4-5 days outside the U.S.), and also UPS 2 or 3-day service. The charges for these will be calculated on a per-order basis from the closest warehouse to you and added to your order. This applies also to orders over $100.00  for which you want faster shipping options. These options, of course, depend on stock availability. Some parts, especially for older motors and low-demand original equipment items, may take a few extra days to acquire from the manufacturer first. We will inform you of this as soon as we are made aware that this is the case.

We pay the freight out in USA on all orders over $100.00. Orders less than this amount will have a shipping and handling charge of $8.75 added. Some bulky and heavy items will incur additional charges. You will be notified beforehand if this is the case. All orders normally ship via USPS. Remember, all orders receive free technical support from the MasterTech!
