Please mention info such as Electric or Rope start, shaft length, etc if it pertains to your question.
To help us provide the correct parts quote, please refer to the chart below for the type of model and/or serial info we need:

Evinrude - Johnson - OMC	MODEL I.D. of the motor. SERIAL NUMBERS are not relevant and do not help
Mercury / Mariner & Mercruiser	The motor SERIAL NUMBER. Models are not used. ALL parts lookup is by Year and Serial Number only
Yamaha	The YEAR, HP, and MODEL I.D. of the motor
Force and Chrysler	The YEAR, HP, and MODEL I.D. of the motor (early models) e.g. Model 1254X8C. Motors mid-1992 & up (made by Mercury) have a SERIAL NUMBER which we need instead. These will be serial numbers beginning with "0E" e.g. 0E123456
Nissan and Tohatsu	The YEAR, HP, and COMPLETE MODEL I.D. of the motor (e.g. NS30A4, M25C3, MFS30A4)
