That motor's 7 years old!! Part is no longer available. We lose $$ on service! EPA made me do it! Part's at central warehouse, you'll get it next month. We don't make parts for those. We only do warranty work. Our techs only fix late models. No clue what's wrong! So we'll work time & material.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF YOU HAVE A KING COBRA, MOST WERE CHANGED IN THE 1992 MODEL YEAR TO HAVE A LARGER OUTDRIVE WATER PUMP; many parts for those pumps may be no longer available. They were inconsistent as to which drive they put on which motor through around 1994, after which they began producing the Cobra SX model, which used an engine belt-driven seawater pump system.
These had their own issues; the belt-driven pumps did not always match the catalogs either (refer to note in the SX section).
As noted above, the Model I.D. (on a plate on the block) is very important. We can usually determine what is on your drive from that

It's much cheaper, pumps more water. -OUR RECCOMENDATION- The only difference
is the
impeller "cage" & impeller dimensions are half height
in this original kit for 1990 models. In 1991 OMC switched to the full size pump as standard equipment.

A Note on Cobra SX Water Pumps:
these were often switched around beteween OMC and VOLVO (they both made these drive packages as a joint operation from 1993-98 when OMC dropped out of the stern drive business). There were SOME pumps that look like the ones below but have different impeller parts than noted. PLEASE DISASSEMBLE YOURS AND CHECK THE SHAFT TYPE before ordering replacement impeller kits.
